Lake Shore United Methodist Church, 33119 Electric Blvd. in Avon Lake
The American Cancer Society provides programs, support and direction for multitudes of patients and their families every year. The Crop for a Cure event will benefit the programs and support the women of Lorain County receive on their journey from illness back to health. A generous portion of the proceeds raised from this event will remain here in our county to provide for the women we live with, work with and laugh with every day. Event costs include both lunch and dinner for all participants, snacks, beverages, door prizes, raffles, giveaways, an event tee shirt and a 6 foot table space to work and craft for up to 14 hours. Doors open at 9AM and will remain open until 11PM, guests can come and go as they please and stay for any or all of that time. Early bird registration from now until April 1st is $40 per person, and $50 per person from April 2nd until the event date. Please note – guests registering after April 10th are not guaranteed the tee shirt size requested.
The American Cancer Society’s dedication to caring for all patients suffering through terminal illness is a gift to the patients and their families. Early detection saves lives and other programs enhance the quality of everyday life for these patients. I received many years of happy memories with two of my grandparents thanks to the Cancer Society. My grandmother danced at my wedding, met two of my three children and visited our home several times because she was given time to enjoy life disease free. Please join with us as we help give others that opportunity right here in Lorain County.
